Are you looking to adopt?

First ask yourself 'do I have...' :

  • The proper facilities to keep an animal? Enough space?
  • Time for the animal's needs inc. cleaning out, grooming?
  • A lifestyle suitable for having an animal dependant on me?
  • To work long hours or go on holiday often?
  • Can I afford the cost of looking after an animal?
  • Can I afford insurance to help cover high vet bills?
  • Have I bothered to find out about what the animal will need?
  • Am I prepared to clean up its mess?
  • Will I look after it when it is ill or when it gets old?
  • Will it get on with any other pets I might have?
  • Am I prepared to be responsible for any damage it may do?
  • Have you read the info on our Rehoming page first?

Cats needing new homes

Petal
F
18 Months

Petal was brought into our care by RSPCA Inspectors as her needs were not being met by her owners and she had just given birth to 5 baby girls.
She was a terrific mummy who never left her kittens side, but was happy for her foster family to handle the kittens as she relaxed and enjoyed motherhood.
All her babies have now gone to their new homes and Petal has been neutered
and will soon be ready to find a forever home herself.
Whilst a little timid at first she is one of the most gentle cats we have ever had in
our care, she is very loving, good with the fosterers grandchildren and not a bad
bone in her body - a really placid little girl.
We estimate that Petal is 1-2 years old, she has not had a good start to life and is
desperate for a loving family and we have promised that we will find her one.

Please note we're situated in Barnsley, South Yorkshire. We are happy to consider new homes outside our area, but please be aware that any initial vaccinations, neutering or vet visits will usually be required to take place at our local vet surgery.
If you think you could provide any of our cats with a loving home then please call our Cat Coordinator on 07823 550 886. Please quote 'Branch site'.

Raven and Saffy
F
9 weeks

Raven and her sister Saffy (tabby) are almost 9 weeks old and will be available for adoption before the end of May but may be reserved prior to that.
This pair of girls are not only gorgeous but confident, loving and very playful from morning til night!!  (Hence can't be bothered to sit still for the camera!). They are currently being fostered in a home with a friendly dog.
They will make great family pets, and will certainly keep you entertained!
Having a close bond we would like them to be rehomed together as they just adore one another.

Please note we're situated in Barnsley, South Yorkshire. We are happy to consider new homes outside our area, but please be aware that any initial vaccinations, neutering or vet visits will usually be required to take place at our local vet surgery.

Betty
F
9 months

Betty was brought in by RSPCA Inspectors,  and whilst she is a beautiful looking girl
we feel she has had a bad start to her young life which has left her with a mistrust
of humans.

Despite her obvious fear when she first came into our care, Betty has never shown any form of aggression  but she had a permanently worried expression. After much patience and lots of TLC Betty has now built a close and trusting bonwith her fosterer and she has spent many hours sprawled across  her knee .......and  yes she has finally started to purr !!!

This lovely girl is only about 9 months old and is now looking for her forever home.
We think Betty needs a quiet home as an only pet and with only older children who will better understand that she needs a bit of time to get to know them.

Once she knows she is safe we know that Betty will make an amazing addition to any family - she simply wants to feel loved.

Please note we're situated in Barnsley, South Yorkshire. We are happy to consider new homes outside our area, but please be aware that any initial vaccinations, neutering or vet visits will usually be required to take place at our local vet surgery.

Meet these pretty black brother and sister, brought to us on Star Wars day (May the Fourth be with you!).

These tiny mischievous 7 weeks olds are full of fun and purrs.  Bold, adventurous and friendly they are sweet little bundles of joy.
Brought in by RSPCA Officers, they are very well-bonded siblings and for this reason we would like them to be re-homed together and they should be available to go to their new home  by approx 20th May but may be reserved prior to this.

3 years

Bubble is a 3 year old boy who was an RSPCA kitten, reared in our care, but he
now finds himself back with us through no fault of his own.

He has always been an indoor cat  but we feel that he would quite happily adapt to going outside and exploring the big wide world!

has not lived with dogs at all.

Please note we're situated in Barnsley, South Yorkshire. We are happy to consider new homes outside our area, but please be aware that any initial vaccinations, neutering or vet visits will usually be required to take place at our local vet surgery.
