Could you spare some time?
Time is something that most of us are short on these days, so giving time to help out doesn't have to mean regular or long hours. There are several ways you can give just 3 or 4 hours occasionally- all we ask is reliability.
Volunteering with RSPCA  Barnsley & District is a great way to meet like minded people who share the same enthusiasm for animal welfare and help promote that locally.
There are lots of other benefits too, such as:
  • Gaining new skills or developing existing ones.
  • The chance to try out something new.
  • Doing something useful and rewarding.
  • Gaining a sense of achievement.
  • Putting something back into the community.
  • Developing your personal skills and confidence.
  • Gaining important transferable skills in fundraising, campaigning, finance, team building, management, computers, administration.
...the list is endless!
What can I do?
  • If you can bake, you could make cakes or buns for us to sell at events.
  • Knit for us! Knitted toys are popular at fairs and galas.
  • Stand on stalls at events for a few hours with others (and have a  great day out !)
  • Collect money by standing in our selected shops for a couple of hours.
  • Give regular hours helping at our shop (a minimum of 4 hours on a day in the week.)
  • Foster cats or dogs for us.
