20 hours per week (average)  (Wombwell)
Both positions are including weekend / public holidays when required
You would also be required to provide cover for other staff absences (e.g. holidays, sickness etc.)

Role summary
You will be involved in general shop duties including, till operations, customer service, sorting stock, merchandising and general housekeeping  and demonstrate a creative and flexible approach to all tasks undertaken.
To assist in the smooth day to day running of the shop and effectively help the deputy manager as instructed.
 
Role description detail and  key accountabilities
Further detail on specific tasks are available on request however in general the sales assistant is required to:
         To serve customers and provide excellent customer care through quality of service
         Till operation and cash handling
         To help ensure that all available selling space in the shop unit is used effectively to optimise sales.
         To understand and comply with the Branch guidelines
         To help keep the shop floor clean, tidy and well presented.
         To assist with the sorting and pricing of stock donations.
         Any other duties commensurate with the role
 
Additional Information
       Full training for the role including shadowing will be provided.
       A 6 month probationary trial will be in place for the successful candidate with a monthly progress meeting to be held, in addition to a probationary meeting at the end of the 6 months.
       The post holder may be required to travel to other RSPCA shop locations on occasion
       The post holder may be required to attend, as requested, meetings and training courses
